My Trip to Japan!:)

Hi Bloggers,

Over spring break, I went to Japan!! I went with my entire family! Over the 10 days, we were there we explored all of Tokyo and Niigata! It was so beautiful! We went skiing and we saw the cherry blossoms! You might already know…but this post will be all about my family trip to Japan!

For 8 out of the 10 days we were in Japan we stayed at the New Sano Hotel! It was a really cool hotel because it had a pool and a hot tub! But to me, the best part was that it had Family Mart and Starbucks that was really close! I absolutely love Family Mart, it has EVERYTHING!!

Every day we left our hotel at about 10:00. We rode the train to start our adventure! we adventured off to Harajuku, Shinagawa, Kamakura, Tokyo Station, and Roppongi! It was so much fun just adventuring around Japan! I think my favorite part of each day was riding the train everywhere. I love Japan and I would always go there!

We also went skiing in Niigata for two days! That was really cool because it wasn’t really really cold! I went skiing with my dad, sister, cousin, aunty, and mom! It was really fun and hilarious!! We had so much fun on the ski lifts and also getting on/off them was really fun!! Japan was beautiful and I had so much fun it is actually indescribable!

This is a picture of some cherry blossoms in Japan!

SBC Week 4: Activity 5- Free Rice Review!:)

Hi Bloggers!,

This week I played the game “Free Rice”  game!

This game is very educational. You can select a topic you would like to learn about like Math, English, Humanities, Language Learning, Chemistry, Geography, and Science!

Every time you get a question right you donate 10 grains of rice to the hungry! It is a very easy game but you should play it because all of the time you are spending playing this game is going to a good cause! I really like this game because everything is going to a good cause and also because it is educational. I think you would really like it too.

Here is the link to play the game! Have fun!!

Until Next Week!

Keep Smiling!:)

My Best Work in Social Studies!:)

In Social Studies last year I researched The Village of Upside Down Boat Houses! It was so interesting and I really enjoyed researching this topic.

This is the slideshow that I made!

My Best Work in Library Science!:)

In Libary Science, we had to create a how-to video! So I choose: How to make homemade waffles! I love food and I know a lot of my friends liked food so I thought they would be interested in it! So here it is! Take a Look!

I really hope you like it I worked really hard on it!

My Best Work in P.E.!:)

In after-school extracurricular sports, we play volleyball and basketball! If your grades are good enough and you are allegeable to play you play in 14 regular season games and 3 games if you make it to the playoffs. So every year they choose a male and female athlete of the year as well as a scholar-athlete of the year! And last year I was fortunate enough to win BOTH!

These are what they look like!!

When I received these awards I was so happy. I was really happy because I worked really hard for these awards and I am so honored that I won these.

My Best Work in Science!:)

In science, we are currently working on a project for the lerning showcase. It is where the students show their parents what they were learning in school. So we are in pairs of 2 and I am with Denis!

We had to make a script because we have to make a speech. We are telling our parents about snails, watering, and the coffee project.

My Best Work in Math!:)

I know that a lot of my best work is from last year but that’s okay! Again another project from last year is a math project. After trimester each of us does a project. That trimester’s project was about oceanographers and about what kinds of tools they use! Take a look!  https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1L2x3kzclZRYFHimRfhtGJUjgcRx5kVJuTZ1M4F1gOBo/edit?usp=sharing

I really liked writing about this because it taught me a lot about oceanographers and it kind of inspired me to think about being an oceanographer when I am older!

Best STEM Project!:)

In STEM class(Science Technology Engineering and Math) last year(6th grade) my friends and I made a presentation about how ice cream is made and if we had an ice cream flavor/company we would name it J.A.R.T!

Take a look!! It is really cool and we worked really hard on it. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1QdhUd84j2Ul4RAFOcP1qgAACB3AfgW8fCg8kulzIQQU/edit?usp=sharing Shelby L. Bell via CompfightIce Cream 🍦(In Explore 06/06/17)

My Best Work in Language Arts!:)

I think that my best piece of work in Language Arts was my essay about Alcatraz Escape in 1962.

Do I think that Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers did make it out alive? Yes, I do believe that they made it out alive. Whereʻs the proof? The was really no evidence or proof that they did make it out alive but yet there was not enough proof to believe that they didnʻt make it out alive, which leaves me to say that they did make it out alive. Why do I believe that they made it out alive? I believe that they did because there was no word heard from them since the escape attempt, until… The F.B.I. got a letter that was believed to have been sent from John Anglin. The letter said “My name is John Anglin. I escape from Alcatraz in June 1962 with my brother Clarence and Frank Morris. I’m 83 years old and in bad shape. I have cancer. Yes, we all made it that night but barely!”

It was a very well planned escape that they just couldnʻt wait to pull off. On that night, everything went perfectly as planned except for one thing. Allen West was a prisoner in Alcatraz and on the night of the escape he was supposed to go with them, but he couldnʻt get out of his cell. There was no time to waste, the three just had to go and leave West. Indeed West was sad, but he was so close to them that he would not snitch on them. The day after the escape, the guards of the prison did their morning headcount and just to find three inmates missing.

After the guards made a horrible discovery, they let the search tower guards know but it was too late. The three had escaped the prison and probably the whole bay area. After not being able to find them, F.B.I. had a search around the area and couldnʻt find anything. Had these three men just escaped Alcatraz or had the been eaten in the shark-infested water or drowned in the strong current lake.

The three men had reportedly been planning to go to Angel Island but all odds were against them. On that night, it was a high tide and the current was leading them to San Francisco but could they possibly complete the daring escape. Even 55 years after the daring escape, a group called the Mythbusters build a replica raft and even with the same condition, they indeed made it to Angel Island. After making it to Angel Island, the Mythbusters was just forced to believe that they did make it out alive.

Still, to this day, the mystery of whether they did or didnʻt make it out of Alcatraz alive may not be solved, but learning about all of this information has convinced me to believe that the three sure made it out alive.

I loved writing about this topic because I personally love the mystery of Alcatraz.
